DarkFab combines decades of manufacturing expertise with modern automation and software engineering. We're a young company with experienced minds and flat hierarchies.
You'll work on real automation projects with us – from the first idea through engineering and software to commissioning and ongoing operation at the customer's site.
Become part of a top-tier team of developers, engineers and thinkers, working together toward one vision: the Dark Factory of tomorrow. Build technology that moves things.
We are a team of different disciplines and perspectives. What connects us is our enthusiasm for technology and the drive to turn complex tasks into working solutions.
Here you'll find experienced colleagues, short decision paths, and an environment where you can bring in your own ideas.
We don't want you to just work through your tasks.
We want you to think along, help shape things, and take on responsibility.
Build technology that moves things.
No theory. No busywork. Real projects.
At DarkFab you'll work on real automation projects – from the first idea through engineering and software to commissioning.
You're not developing for some abstract future.
You're building it.
You don't need to know it all.
But you should enjoy learning.
Automation is complex. That's why people with different strengths work together here.
You don't need to know everything. What matters is that you're curious, want to take on responsibility, and want to find solutions together with others.
We'll figure out the rest together.
People, not employee numbers.
We value personalities.
At DarkFab we don't just look for perfect résumés.
We look for people who are curious. People who don't just accept problems. People who ask questions. People who take on responsibility.
And people who want to build something together.
„ Our company culture is built on flexibility, state-of-the-art technology, and mutual trust.”
Value for you
What you can expect from us
Responsibility instead of going through the motions
You get room to shape your own ideas and bring them to life. We believe good decisions are made where the right expertise sits.
Technology instead of buzzwords
For us, it's not about listing as many technologies as possible. It's about using them meaningfully. Robotics. Automation. Software. AGVs. Data. Connectivity.
Growth instead of standing still
Technologies keep changing. That's why we want you to keep growing too. We support each person individually and create opportunities to take on responsibility, professionally and personally.
Results instead of Theory
You work on real projects - robotics, automation systems and real solutions. Not dry theory, but visible results you can hold in your own hands at the end.
Flat hierarchies instead of long detours
Short decision paths enable direct exchange and move projects forward faster.
Team instead of elbows
Automation is teamwork. Design, electrical planning, software, project engineering, assembly and commissioning all have to work together. That's why we work with each other - not alongside each other.
Focus areas
Be part of our team
whether in automation, software development, engineering or commissioning — bring your skills and help us bring the Dark Factory to life directly at our customers' sites.
With us, you take ownership of real projects from day one. Flat hierarchies and short decision paths mean your ideas move fast, from concept to execution.
Want to see how an idea becomes a running system? This is where you make it happen.
You develop control systems, choose sensors and program robotics for automated production processes — from the first sketch to the finished cell.
Technology you bring to life yourself.
Commissioning
From planning to a running system
In the end, it is not the theory that counts — it is whether the system runs.
You travel to the customer site, bring controls, mechanics and software together, and you are there the first time it all clicks into place.
You see your work not on a screen — but on the real machine.
Software
Shape digital processes yourself
You do not just want to write code — you want to understand what it does on the shop floor.
You build our own software, map production processes digitally, and bring together data from the system, the order and the material.
Software you can see on the shop floor — not just in a terminal.
Engineering
Concepts, design, technical follow-through
With us, a concept does not stay a concept — you watch it take shape.
You develop concepts, design solutions and see projects through technically, from the initial request to the finished system.
Your ideas end up on the shop floor, not in a drawer.
Service & Optimization
Keep existing systems evolving
Not every project starts from zero — sometimes it is about making what already exists better.
You analyze systems while they are running, spot potential for improvement, and keep developing solutions together with our customers.
You stay involved, long after the system is up and running.
AGVs & Material Flow
Automated material movement
How does material get to the right place at the right time? That is exactly what you design.
You plan, integrate and optimize automated material movement, making sure vehicles, orders and production work together.
AGVs you bring to life.
“ Successful automation happens where design engineering, technology, and teamwork come together. It is exactly this combination that makes our projects special. ”
MarenDesign Engineering Lead
“ I follow every project from the first idea all the way to the running plant – that big-picture view is what makes my job. ”
SteffenProject Management
“ I didn't just want to write code. I wanted to see what my software actually moves. ”
LukasSoftware Development
“ What drives me: there's no one-size-fits-all here – for every plant, we find the best technical solution. ”
