1. Data controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is: DarkFab Automation GmbH
Nellenburgstraße 1 · 88605 Sauldorf-Krumbach · Germany
Email: info@darkfab.de · Phone: +49 7777 9301-850
Further details can be found in the imprint.

2. General information on data processing

This website provides information about our company and our services and offers you the opportunity to contact us via a contact form and an application form. We do not use tracking or analytics tools, and do not use cookies for marketing or analytics purposes. No evaluation of user behavior takes place. Information on the cookies we use can be found in Section 4.

3. Server log files

When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us. These are: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request, and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.

This collection is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, arising from our legitimate interest in the technical security and stability of our online offering. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, generally after a short period of time.

4. Cookies

This website uses a technically necessary session cookie set by our content management system to manage your session. It contains no personal data, serves no marketing or analytics purpose, and is deleted at the latest when you close your browser. As it is required for the technical operation of the site, no consent is required for it under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) / Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Consent cookie: This website additionally sets a cookie named consent, which stores the choice you made in the cookie banner (e.g. "accepted all" or "rejected all"). It contains no personal data beyond this decision and automatically becomes invalid after 180 days; if our cookie offering changes, you will be asked again regardless. At present, no optional cookies or third-party services (e.g. for marketing or analytics purposes) are enabled through this banner — the available choices exist solely so that future additions to our offering can be introduced in a privacy-compliant way. This cookie, too, is technically necessary to provide the consent-management feature you are using; no consent is therefore required for it under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG / Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Logging your decision: To be able to demonstrate, in the event of a dispute, that and how you gave your consent, we log your decision on our server — including the time, the page visited, and the categories selected. Your IP address and browser identifier (user agent) are irreversibly hashed with a value specific to and kept confidential by our website, and are not stored in plain text. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 (1) GDPR (obligation to demonstrate consent). These records are automatically deleted after 400 days at the latest.

5. Contact form and contacting us

If you use our contact form, the data you enter (name, email address, your message) is stored on our server in order to process your inquiry. If you contact us by email or telephone instead, we process the details you provide for the same purpose.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry). We delete this data as soon as it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Applications

If you apply to us – via the application form on this website, by email, or by post – we process the information you provide to us during and in the further course of the application process.

Data: name and, where applicable, academic title, date of birth, contact details, application documents (cover letter, CV, references, certificates), information on qualifications, work experience and language skills, as well as the correspondence and interview notes from the process. You decide what information you provide to us; required are your name, contact details, and the position you are interested in.

Purpose: We compare your profile with the requirements of the position, decide whether to invite you for an interview, and carry out the process with you. No further use is made of the data.

Special categories of data: Application documents may contain information protected under Art. 9 GDPR (e.g. photograph, disability status, religious affiliation). This information is not required. If you nonetheless provide it, we process it only to the extent necessary for establishing the employment relationship.

Legal bases: § 26 (1) sentence 1 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act), supplemented by Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation of an employment relationship); Art. 9 (2) (b) GDPR in conjunction with § 26 (3) BDSG (special categories of data); Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, insofar as you give consent (e.g. inclusion in our applicant pool) – revocable at any time with future effect; Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for retention to defend against possible claims, in particular under the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).

Recipients: Internally, only the departments involved in the process have access – human resources, the hiring department, and management. We do not use an applicant management system; your documents are received directly by us. Insofar as service providers for hosting, email, or IT maintenance may have technical access to the data, they are contractually bound as processors under Art. 28 GDPR. No data is transferred to third countries.

Storage period: If an employment relationship is established, we transfer the data to the personnel file. Otherwise, we delete your documents six months after the process is concluded; this period serves to defend against possible claims under the AGG. If you have consented to inclusion in our applicant pool, we store the data until you withdraw your consent, but for no longer than twelve months.

Your rights: The rights described in Section 8 apply.

7. Fonts

This site embeds the fonts it uses locally. No connection is made to external font providers (e.g. Google Fonts), and no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.

8. Your rights

Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to request free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, as well as a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability (Art. 15–20 GDPR). You also have a right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). Insofar as processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. For this and any further questions on the topic of personal data, you may contact us at any time using the address given in the imprint.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.

9. Currency and amendment of this privacy policy

This privacy policy is currently valid (as of September 2026). As our website continues to develop, amendments to this policy may become necessary.
